I’ll forgive you if you don’t recognize the title, as you mostly see it as CS: GO because people don’t want to waste time typing it, they just want to get into the action.ĬS: GO is an online tactical first-person shooter and features classic content from the original Counter-Strike, such as revamped versions of classic maps, as well as brand new maps, characters, and game modes. Valve has more than its share of games on this list, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is probably the best. With a deep story continuing from the last (and previous) installments, beautiful graphics and replayability thanks to the augmentation system, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was worth the wait. While Feral Interactive had to delay it while waiting for Metal 2, once it arrived it easily took its place as one of the best and most innovative shooters on the platform. In Deus Ex, you can use the RPG-like system of augmentations to gradually evolve your character to suit your playing style. You like stealth, play stealthy, you like frontal assaults, you can do that too. The latest entry in this venerable franchise replaces the previous installment, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which easily earned a place on the list thanks to its innovative approach that allows you to play the way you want. Luckily, Aspyr did such a terrific job with the game’s Mac version that most will be able to experience it, including gamers with older MacBook Pros.īorderlands 2 benchmark results (in FPS): One more thing… Borderlands 2 is also beautiful, with a graphic novel style that ages well.
It’s not quite as evolved as Destiny 2 but Borderlands 2 can still deliver a good multiplayer experience. The game also supports up to 4-players co-op, and needless to say, the experience is much more fun with friends. Enough features to keep you busy in the enormous world that is entirely at your disposal. Here, you will kill and loot, and gain experience points and skills.

The Borderlands series is known for its winning formula of mixing FPS gameplay with RPG mechanics, and Borderlands 2 just got it all right. That’s probably why it has 12,000 concurrent players a month compared to the Pre-Sequel’s 1,100 players. So what happened? Over time it’s become clear that Borderlands 2 is the king of this series, with perhaps the perfect blend of shooting and looting.
